I make fun of the people and things in my life that I love. That extends to movies, and this section is devoted to me nitpicking some of my favorite films. None of these rambles are meant to serve as “gotchas” that prove a film is actually bad; I really like the movies presented here and am showing my love by mercilessly making fun of them.

• Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone: Dumbledore is a bad headmaster, and Harry is a horrible student.
• Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Hermione breaks the law, but that’s okay because the wizarding world has bad laws that endorse racism and slavery.
• Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban: Dumbledore and McGonagall really upped the ante on trying to get the kids killed this year.
• Jurassic Park: Admit it, you can hear John Williams’ score just by imagining the title screen.
